I believe I own a pair of the goggles used as a base for that. Nice to see what I have the option to potentially create myself!

Ok, that's the last drop, seriously I can't take it anymore.
I have to do something about it.
I've got to make some steampunk stuff.
:iconmantisred:
That's what got me started.

Gorgeous! I love the detail you put in your work. :D
I'm actually really curious as to how you make these. I'd like to make a pair of goggles for my own personal use, but I have absolutely no idea where to start. xD;

Where did you get/ how did you make the actual eye covers?

I start with a pair of brazing goggles, you can get at a welding supply store. Then for the straps I hunt down an old purse. The side leather also comes from the purse. I attach everything with hardware or stitching. Even the bolts on the lens caps are drilled and screwed in. They are labor intensive but not to wholly difficult to create. If you need any other tips or advice your welcome to ask, just as long as I get to see the final piece. ;)
